Thank You

Well, the internship is just about over. I haven't been in for awhile because I have had volleyball. I would just like to thank all the library staff and my fellow interns. It was a great experience and I enjoyed working with them. There is a lot of great people working in the library and it was fun taking the time to get to know them. I learned a ton about things I didn't know and I enjoyed getting creative with the displays. Overall, this was a great experience.

Random Things

I'm not really sure what I want to talk about, so I'll just talk about random stuff. Moving these books in August will be a HUGE project! It will take awhile to get things in order that will look good. But, you also get to see all the different kinds of books that haven't seen light for a couple of years. I redid the background of the bulliten board, it now looks like a patchwork quilt. They seem to like it. The memorial that we are doing for Evelyn Crowder will look good. I was thinking, instead of painting the quote on, why don't we use vinyl lettering? That will look even more professional. I'll have to bring that up. Well, enough of my ramblings.

Finished Idaho Project

This is my finished project! It took a lot of researching and cutting papers, but I got it finished! I really enjoyed doing this project. It has been fun working in the library where I get to do a variety of jobs. It's fun working under Mary and the rest of the staff. I'm glad I've had the chance to work here!

Books

You know, reading books is one of my favorite pastimes. It is really entertaining and I can really get lost in a book. There are many different kinds of books out there. My favorites are mystery and historical fiction. But, I do enjoy reading pretty much anything. Thank goodness our library has a great selection of books!!!!

Idaho project

This last week I have been researching on Idaho to make a display for it. I put it up (with the help of Shelby) on Friday. I still have to put some last touches on it to finalize it and find a couple more books to add to my shelf, and it will be done! It was really fun to research more about my state and find some interesting facts that I didn't know. Idaho is quite a state.

Project

It's fun to take an old book, one that has seen better days, and re-cover it. It makes it look so much nicer! I really like the idea we had for our group project. I think it will look good and people in the community will really appreciate it! I just hope that we can get it done this summer... but, whenever it gets done I'm sure it will be AMAZING!

Donations

Wow, there are sure a lot of donations that go through the library. Some good, some bad. I got the chance to go through some and see if we had copies in our library and if they needed to be replaced. If we didn't need them, they go to our book sale. It was fun to see how what kind of stuff goes through donations.
